Acupuncture Improvs Migraines.jpg

Acupuncture Treats Migraine Headaches. Migraine Headaches can be debilitating and leave sufferers bedridden with pain, dizziness, and nausea for days at a time. Several research studies prove that acupuncture is one of the best treatments for eliminating migraine headache pain. Repeated tests showed it even more effective than conventional drug therapies. One of the studies included MRI analysis of the brain in migraine patients. Analysis showed how migraine sufferers experience a decrease in functional connectivity between the frontal and temporal lobes in the brain. Acupuncture is shown to restore this connectivity within MRI studies. MRI analysis also showed how acupuncture seems to restore glycometabolism rates in several parts of the brain that were considered abnormal in migraine patients. This type of analysis helped explain WHY acupuncture is so effective in both relieving migraine pain and preventing future migraine attacks. Of course, acupuncture is also incredibly effective in treating tension, cluster, and sinus headaches. The pain relief, anti-inflammatory, and tension relieving actions of acupuncture attack headaches from several angles resulting in dramatic relief that lasts even several weeks after the the last treatment.

Introducing our New Laser System:

The Avant LZ30Z

While we've helped thousands of patients heal injuries with our Apollo Laser System, we have just added the Avant Laser System to our tool set.  What makes the Avant system so special is that it incorporates the massive power of the Apollo system and adds additional wavelengths (colors) and offers both continuous wave and pulsed options.  This increase in capabilities opens up a whole new chapter on our ability to treat a much larger range of medical conditions with cold laser therapy.  To put it simply, we can heal injuries faster, decrease pain and inflammation quicker, and get you active as quick as possible.

Our Services

Our Tempe cold laser and acupuncture clinic provides services performed by a fully licensed acupuncturist in business since 2008 who has the expertise and experience to provide the personalized expert care that you deserve.  Besides his acupuncture education, Craig is an expert in the physics of lasers resulting from his many years as an engineer and has been a STRONG advocate of laser therapy and the mechanisms behind their success for over 15 years.  There are many laser therapy devices and "healing light" gimmicks in the market place.  We promise that we only use the highest quality, most powerful,  and most effective laser therapy tools at our clinic.  Cost of service is $90.  This fee includes an all-inclusive treatment using cold-laser therapy, acupuncture, and cupping therapy.  There is no additional cost for initial consultation.

What is Cold Laser Therapy in Tempe Arizona?

The word LASER is the name of a device that projects coherent radiation in the visible, ultra-violet, or infra-red part of the electro-magnetic spectrum. It produces photons that are both monochromatic and in-phase.  To put it simply, it produces light of one specific color that doesn't scatter.  The unique properties of coherence and monochromaticity are the key to why laser light is so effective compared to other kinds of light in pain reduction and healing.  Cold laser therapy, also known as photobiomodulation and low-level laser therapy, involves the application of low power laser light to injuries and lesions to speed healing and reduce pain. It is used to increase the speed, quality and strength of tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and give pain relief.  Laser therapy has been found to offer superior healing and pain relieving effects compared to other electrotherapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, especially in chronic problems and in the early stages of acute injuries. Laser therapy is a complete system of treating muscle, tendon, ligament, connective tissue, bone, nerve, and dermal tissues in a non-invasive, drug-free modality.

How does cold laser therapy work?

LASER light, in the right wavelengths, penetrates into the tissue eliciting photochemical and photo-biological responses.  The effect takes place within the mitochondria; the organelle (part of the cell) responsible for producing ATP.  When light is absorbed it causes a build-up of single oxygen molecules that accelerate the formation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the cells’ energy and fuel source, to 10 times the average rate.  Increased ATP production leads to a secondary cascade or reactions: increasing immune response, accelerating the healing process and reducing pain. This concept of using light to alter various biological responses in our body is called "Photobiomodulation".... a term that is more accurate in describing this process than just "cold laser therapy"...since it's not just limited to laser light.

Customer Reviews

Craig, at Hidden Rhythm Acupuncture has been a life saver for me.    I have been challenged with chronic diarrhea for over 30 years.  I had been diagnosed with IBS, stomach ulcers, and an eroding esophagus.  I have had every diagnostic test & taken a variety of prescription drugs with very little resolute.  My digestive problems controlled my life.  I learned about Craig from my massage therapist who said “Ro, you should give acupuncture a try, what do you have to lose? “  I was hesitant but made the appointment.   I was very impressed with the first visit with Craig.   He was professional; truly interested in me and what were my major concerns.   I am amazed that after six treatments I am now in control of my life.   The diarrhea is not just under control it is gone!  My entire digestive system has improved.   If you have ever wondered would acupuncture work for my condition, try it, it is amazing.
